IN THIS ISSUE:
1. A Note From Margo: Driving Schools
Are you ready? The time to climb into that RV and hit the road is coming soon. Taking a few driving lessons to build your confidence is a great idea. The first step is finding a school within 300 miles. Make this your first destination.

Here are a few suggestions:

Lazydays RV Sales

Lazydays has two locations, Tampa Florida & Tucson Arizona. Both sales lots have a drivers training class each week. Free if you buy your RV from them, otherwise a minimum charge.

RV Driving School

Our driving lessons are designed to make you more confident and safe on the road. Our number one priority is to make sure you have the knowledge and training you need to arrive safely at your next destination.

RVing Women (RVW)

Driving School, Drumwright, OK, October 10, 2015 and 10/11/2015

RVW is sponsoring a two-day driving school for new owners of recreational vehicles and those who wish to renew their driving skills. For members planning to attend the 2015 RVW Convention in Shawnee, Oklahoma, this presents a perfect opportunity to brush up on driving skills.

What you will learn: Working with certified instructors and using a state-of-the-art three-mile driving range, you will practice backing and other skills maneuvers and learn how to use your mirrors effectively.

Classroom instruction will augment the hands-on driver training you receive. Instruction will also include pre-trip vehicle inspection, space and speed management, map reading, trip planning and tips to avoid driver fatigue.

Each student must provide her own RV. All types of RVs are welcome, including travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A, B or C motorhomes, conversion vans and truck campers.

Where: Instruction will be provided from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Central Tech Transportation and Safety Education Division of Central Technology Center, a nationally accredited driving school located 45 miles west of Tulsa at 3 CT Circle, Drumright OK 74030.

2. RV Lifestyle: Boot Camps

Now that the driving school lessons are complete and you feel confident to navigate anywhere, it is time to move on to the next step: Boot Camp.

Usually these camps are a three-day event with plenty of play too. This learning experience gives you a hands-on relationship with the sewer, water, hydraulic, and battery systems. Often there are classes on adding solar, updating equipment, balancing weight, safety issues and various other areas that interest the beginning RVer.

  3. RVing Nugget: Show Off Your RV

Now that you are stepping into the spotlight at driving school or boot camp, the RV should be clean and glossy, at least on the outside.

I use these Mequiar products to keep my aluminum-sided motorhome looking like it came off the showroom floor (and it did 14 years ago). Use the Quick Detailer for those easy shines anytime. Add the microfiber cloth and you have the secrets to the shine.

Charge Your Phone With Your Bracelet

Here you are, sitting in on a wonderful demonstration at a rally, when you want to call your best friend to share the information. Oops, your phone is almost dead. If you are wearing your SolarHug, just plug in the phone and continue the conversation.

When connected to a computer, SolarHug acts like a USB drive with storage up to 128 GB. Also, a colorful LED light is included, and it also works as an indicator of the battery status. Even more, SolarHug vibrates, when it needs your attention. And do not worry about leaving the cable at home. It is built-in within the bracelet, just pull it out.

SolarHug is covered with flexible solar panel that charges the battery inside. This innovative idea can be a real game-changer for travelers.
